In the premiere
episode, two master thieves, Johnny and Rita, reluctantly team up to pull
off a big jewel heist. Unfortunately, Johnny locks the keys inside their
getaway car, and the two are caught by the FBI. Facing a lifetime in jail,
the authorities offer the duo a rather unusual deal.
Agent Shue, head of the Inter-Agency Taskforce for the Return of Stolen
and Missing Government Property, says that the charges against Johnny
and Rita will be dropped if they agree to work for the authorities. National
art treasures, underworld secrets, nuclear launch codes - anything the
Feds have lost, Johnny and Rita must find. To make matters worse, Agent
Shue insists that the duo work together as a team, and one will go to
jail if the other one escapes.
For their debut mission, Agent Shue asks Johnny and Rita to retrieve a
stolen videotape that is crucial evidence in a murder trial. Calling on
his contacts in the underworld, Johnny gets in touch with a contract killer,
who just happens to be an attractive female. She finds the person who
has the tape, in less than four hours, and wants $50,000 for her troubles.
Johnny and Rita try to get the money from Agent Shue, who refuses to give
money to a known criminal. In order to pay off the contract killer, Johnny
and Rita knock off a nightclub, which is making millions by selling illegal
drugs. They also steal a car, bribe a video store clerk, and break nearly
a dozen laws in their pursuit of the valuable videotape.
In the end, they retrieve the tape and return it to the Feds. Johnny and
Rita think this is the end of their career in law enforcement, but now
they are on the hook for all the new crimes they've committed. Agent Shue
gives them another proposition

For their latest assignment, Agent Shue instructs Johnny and Rita to steal, or rather
"retrieve," a stolen Degas painting from a gentleman named Benny
Mustafa. Using one of Johnny's connections in the underworld, Freddy the
Fish, they get a blueprint of Mustafa's house and details on his home
security system.
Freddy the Fish's plans, however, turn out to be less than perfect, and
Johnny and Rita get into a fight with Mustafa's guards. Still using help
from Freddy, the duo once again break into Mustafa's mansion, this time
disguised as pest exterminators. They successfully steal, or rather retrieve,
the Degas, though Mustafa is on their trail. They receive a phone call
from an irate Mustafa, who now has Freddy the Fish hostage. Return the
painting, he demands, or Freddy will literally be sleeping with the fishes.
Johnny and Rita devise a plan to fool Mustafa. Using stolen IDs, they
impersonate the feds and break Roy Lichter, an accomplished art forger,
out of prison. It takes some doing to get Roy into the right artistic
mood, though he eventually creates a duplicate of the painting.
Johnny returns the faux Degas to Mustafa, who immediately detects the
fake. He takes Johnny hostage, along with Freddy, and threatens to kill
them both. Rita, along with one of Mustafa's bodyguards, goes to a strip
club to locate Roy Lichter and the real Degas.
Rita manages to get away from Mustafa's henchmen, and returns to the mansion
to save Johnny and Freddy. While she is en route, Johnny and Freddy manage
to escape and get into a fight with the bad guys. Rita arrives in the
knick of time to save the day.
In the end, Agent Shue gets the Degas back in his hands and Mustafa is
in custody.

For their latest mission, Johnny and Rita have to retrieve a stolen liver that was
intended for a young girl who needs the new organ to live.
By snooping through the office of a crooked lawyer, they discover that
the stolen liver is hidden in a hospital. They manage to find the liver,
but end up trapped in a vault in the hospital morgue. Using a cell phone,
Johnny rings the hospital front desk and impersonates a doctor, claiming
to be locked in the morgue. An orderly lets them out, and Johnny and Rita
make off with the liver.
The liver is stolen from them, though, by Loretta, a woman who once babysat
Johnny when he was younger. They chase Loretta and follow her onto a train.
A fight ensues on the train, and they, once again, retrieve the liver.
They get off the train, and hop aboard a helicopter, mistakenly thinking
that the helicopter has been sent by the Feds. The helicopter really has
more bad guys, and there is a dangerous fight aboard the helicopter.
In the end, Johnny and Rita successfully return the liver to the girl,
saving her life.

Johnny and
Rita are instructed to retrieve a valuable artifact that was taken from
the Colombian government. They retrieve the artifact from a museum, by
posing as security guards, but are immediately plagued by bad luck.
After having dinner at a nice restaurant, the duo steal a car, only to
discover a dead body in the trunk. In their haste to get rid of the car,
they leave the artifact behind. Johnny and Rita later discover that the
artifact was buried, along with the dead body. They dig up the corpse,
along with the statue, only to find themselves arrested for murder. They
are able to escape from the police, but are the targets of a manhunt.
Rita breaks into the police station and retrieves the artifact, which
is being kept as evidence. In the police station, Rita runs into Drew,
a cop with whom she's just begun having a relationship. Drew thinks Rita
is really a murderer, and tries to arrest her, but he's no match for her
martial art skills.
In the end, the artifact is successfully returned to the Colombian government.
